After years of dancing with and instructing Cheremynshyna, Linda Trafananko took on the role of Artistic Director and Head Instructor of Kvitka in 1990. Her years of training and experience has helped Kvitka form into the group it is now. She was able to instruct, and watch her four children grow as dancers and even become instructors. In 2010 Linda resigned from her role as Artistic Director but, despite no longer teaching, wanted to stay connected to the group she loves by serving in an administrative role as Chair of the community. Linda's vision has always been to give children the opportunity to experience their Ukrainian culture through dance.
When Glenna’s four children began dancing it seemed only natural for her to become involved. She has been on the Executive for over 20 years serving as the Secretary-Treasurer for the group, as well as Parent Coordinator, working closely with the instructors to communicate important information to and from parents. Glenna has a heart for Kvitka and could usually be found back stage at our concerts assisting dancers in costume changes. She loves to see their excitement and passion as they perform choreography from various regions of Ukraine.
